Run the New York Marathon for PDT in 2011
NEW YORK MARATHON 2011
The Marathon is normally held the first Sunday in November. The package includes:
- Return flights to New York (inc: airport tax, air passenger duty, passenger service charges)
- Race Entry (included but for your info is approx £349)
- Pasta party
- International Friendship Run
- Post race party
- Escorted by Tour Director, staff and experienced guides
- PDT running equipment (in 2009: Gore running jackets worth £100)
- 3 nights accommodation
- Occupancy and state taxes and baggage handling at the hotel
- Transfers airport/hotel
- Free ‘official’ bus to start of the race
- Reception / event with the New York Police / British Consulate

Notes:
You will be expected to have raised £300 by December 2010.
The £300 covers the deposit with the Tour company for flight/accom and the bib number.
Each runner will be expected to raise £2500 in total.
If you don’t raise the money, you’ll be expected to foot the bill for your package which is approx £1500.
(From each runner the charity hopes to gain approx £1000 as the remaining amount will cover the actual cost to take each participant out there).
All you will have to find is your meals and spending money.
The plan is to fly out on
Friday – then pick up bib/goodie bag from the Marathon Expo
Saturday – participate in the International Friendship Run (3m jog from the United Nations building to Central Park)
Saturday afternoon / evening – reception with the New York Police and/or British Consul
Sunday – Marathon / post marathon party
Monday - Return flight, but you can change this if you wish.
A team of us went out in 2009 and raised a combined total of nearly £40.000.
Unlimited places available to go with the PDT – the places are only subject to the availability with the Tour company (first come, first served). All welcome: serving or retired officers, friends and family.
