Police Survivors Support Scheme
The Police Dependants’ Trust are delighted to announce that in partnership with the Home Office a Police Support Survivors Scheme has been agreed with an anticipated launch date of Feb 8th 2010.
This new discretionary means tested scheme is designed to assist all widows/widowers in England & Wales who were in receipt of Special or Augmented Pensions who have had their pensions stopped on remarriage or forming a new relationship and are in financial need.
The scheme has funding to operate until 31st March 2011 by which time it is hoped that the objectives of this scheme will be met.
